Johnson 2023 Wrap & Year in Review

As 2023 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients, candidates, referral partners, suppliers, and supporters. Both our Executive and Business Support recruitment teams, across the Community Services, Social Purpose, Healthcare & Medical sectors, have been inspired each and every day by the impact our clients make on the lives of others.

We understand the difficulties experienced this year across these sectors brought about by the tough economic conditions, the historically low unemployment rate and nationwide skill shortages which have resulted in creative solutions across talent attraction and retention. Our  Johnson Temp Team and contracting solutions have taken off, mirroring the need for agility across the sector.

There are always good news stories to be found in challenging times! We have witnessed great work delivered to those most in need with clients adapting to market conditions, along with a real growth and innovation trend across service and product delivery. Johnson has developed closer recruitment and consulting partnerships with our clients to allow us to understand what keeps you awake at night, and how we can best support you.

Johnson Recruitment this year also experienced a year of change and consolidation. I was honoured to step into the role of Managing Director earlier this year as Barry Vienet, our previous MD of nearly 10 years, passed me the baton. Barry has continued with the business as Executive Director providing me and the wider team with an amazing amount of support and encouragement, for which I am truly grateful. We’ve also seen a number of new talented consultants join the team in addition to our long serving members continuing to deepen their industry knowledge and specialisations.

Our team is excited to further our commitment to our key values of Education, Quality, Team and Performance with the goal of ensuring we are the most caring, capable and considerate recruitment agency to support the people who do amazing work – you!

Thought-leadership seminars

We continued our series of complimentary webinars and seminars in 2023, allowing our networks all over Australia (and beyond!) to join us for thought-leadership sessions.

We would like to thank all the speakers who offered their time and expertise to ensure these sessions continue to be as popular as they are.

Some of the topics we covered this year were:

  • Securing Medical Practice viability amid Payroll Tax Uncertainty
  • How to Make Your Diverse Workplace More Inclusive
  • A Guide to Outcomes Contracting and Social Impact Bonds
  • Winning people strategies in tough economic times
  • What does it take to be an impactful leader in 2023?
  • Increasing your profile and strengthening your brand

Charities we proudly support

All of us at Johnson Recruitment would like to wish you a safe and happy festive break and we look forward to supporting you in 2024.
